Job Summary

Macias Specialty Contracting is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Foreman to lead our concrete crews on diverse construction projects. The ideal candidate will have extensive hands-on experience in all facets of concrete work, a proven ability to manage and motivate teams, and an unwavering commitment to site safety and quality craftsmanship.

Responsibilities

• Lead and supervise daily activities of concrete crews, ensuring projects are completed efficiently, on schedule, and within budget.

• Interpret blueprints, schematics, and construction drawings to accurately guide concrete operations.

• Oversee the setup of formwork, including foundations, slabs, walls, and other concrete structures.

• Manage all aspects of concrete pouring, leveling, finishing, and curing, ensuring adherence to specifications.

• Ensure the proper use, maintenance, and care of all concrete tools and equipment.

• Enforce rigorous safety protocols on job sites, conduct daily safety briefings, and proactively identify and address potential hazards.

• Maintain effective communication with project managers, superintendents, other trades, and clients.

• Mentor and train crew members, fostering a positive and productive work environment.

• Track project progress, maintain detailed daily logs, and provide regular reports on job status.

• Troubleshoot and resolve on-site issues promptly and effectively.

• Coordinate and manage material orders, ensuring timely availability.

• Conduct thorough quality control checks to ensure all work meets Macias Specialty Contracting's high standards and project specifications.

Qualifications

• 2+ years of proven experience as a Foreman or in a similar supervisory role within the construction industry.

• Extensive hands-on experience with all phases of concrete construction, including formwork, rebar placement, pouring, finishing, and curing.

• Strong understanding of concrete mix designs and their properties.

• Ability to accurately read and interpret blueprints, specifications, and project documents.

• Demonstrated leadership skills with the ability to effectively motivate, manage, and train a team.

• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

• Strong problem-solving abilities and meticulous attention to detail.

• OSHA 10 or OSHA 30 certification is highly preferred (or a willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe).

• Valid driver's license and reliable transportation are required.

• Ability to work in various weather conditions and perform physically demanding tasks.
