Job Summary:

Macias Specialty Contracting LLC is seeking a reliable and hardworking General Laborer to join our team. The General Laborer will play a crucial role in supporting our concrete repair and construction projects, performing a variety of physical tasks to ensure project success, site safety, and overall quality. This is an excellent opportunity for individuals looking to gain valuable experience in specialized concrete construction and grow within a dynamic and reputable company.

Responsibilities:

• Perform physically demanding tasks at job sites, including lifting, digging, carrying, and hauling concrete, aggregate, and other construction materials.

• Assist skilled concrete repair technicians and other tradespeople with various tasks, such as preparing surfaces, mixing materials, and setting forms.

• Load and unload materials, tools, and equipment safely and efficiently.

• Maintain a clean and organized work environment, including site cleanup and debris removal.

• Operate hand and power tools (e.g., shovels, rakes, wheelbarrows, concrete mixers, grinders) safely and efficiently under supervision.

• Adhere strictly to all company and OSHA safety protocols and procedures, including wearing appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE).

• Support site preparation and restoration activities, ensuring minimal disruption.

• Perform other duties as assigned by the supervisor or project manager.

Qualifications:

• Previous experience in a general labor or construction role, particularly in concrete work, is a significant plus but not strictly required.

• Ability to perform physically demanding tasks for extended periods in various weather conditions (hot, cold, wet).

• Strong work ethic, reliability, and punctuality are essential.

• Ability to follow instructions accurately and work effectively and collaboratively as part of a team.

• Basic understanding of construction site safety practices.

Physical Requirements:

• Ability to lift and carry heavy objects (up to 50+ lbs) regularly.

• Ability to stand, walk, bend, stoop, kneel, and climb for extended periods.

• Ability to work outdoors in various environmental conditions.
